Das Leben des sechsjährigen Mason Jr. wird auf den Kopf gestellt, als seine Mutter Olivia mit ihm und seiner Schwester Samantha in ihre Heimat Texas zurückkehrt, um noch einmal das College zu besuchen. Dort bekommen die Kinder immerhin auch ihren Vater Mason Sr., der seit der Scheidung kaum für sie da gewesen ist, wieder öfter zu Gesicht. Mason Jr. muss sich mit seiner neuen Lebenssituation arrangieren – und durchlebt so die zwölf Jahre, die aus einem kleinen Jungen einen Mann machen: Es stehen Campingausflüge mit dem Vater an, es wird das erste Bier getrunken, der erste Joint geraucht und auch die erste große Liebe erlebt. Doch die Männergeschichten von Olivia sorgen immer wieder für Probleme… .

Ayreon – Electric Castle Live and Other Tales (2020)

On March 27 Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group release ‚Ayreon – Electric Castle Live and Other Tales‘, a 3 LP set of last year’s live spectacular performance of the third Ayreon album ‚Into The Electric Castle‘.
Over four nights at Tilburg’s 013 venue (scene of the Ayreon Universe series of live shows in 2017) Lucassen, his band and one of modern progressive music’s most emphatic of casts celebrated the 20th anniversary of the third Ayreon album in front of thousands of adoring fans who had flown in from around the world.

Originally released in 1998, ‚Into The Electric Castle‘ is a classic tale of an epic quest. Set in ’no time and no space‘, it tells the story of eight individuals who are guided by a mysterious voice and tasked with finding the mysterious Electric Castle and discover what’s inside. The entire album was performed live, featuring original album singers and musicians, such as Thijs Van Leer, Fish, Damian Wilson, Edward Reekers, Anneke van Giersbergen, and several special guests including Simone Simons (Epica) and Star Trek’s John De Lancie as narrator.

The ‚Other Tales‘ are deep cuts from Arjen Lucassen’s other projects, such as The Gentle Storm, Ambeon, Stream of Passion, Guilt Machine, Star One, his solo-album Arjen Anthony Lucassen and a very special Marillion cover.

Queen + Adam Lambert – Live Around The World (2020)

Mit „Live Around The World“ veröffentlichen Queen + Adam Lambert ihr erstes gemeinsames Live-Album. Aus gut 200 Live-Shows der vergangenen acht Jahre haben Taylor, May und Lambert gemeinsam die besten Mitschnitte gewählt.

Die Aufnahmen sind bislang größtenteils unveröffentlicht, und entstanden tatsächlich „around the world“: Von „Rock in Rio“ (Lissabon) bis zum „Isle of Wight-Festival“ dem „Summer Sonic Festival“ in Japan und dem Benefizkonzert „Fire Fight Australia“-Benefizkonzert und vielen weiteren Stationen!

Zu den insgesamt 20 Titeln von „Live Around The World“ zählen Queen-Klassiker wie „Don’t Stop Me Now“ und „I Want To Break Free“ oder auch Neuinterpretationen von Mercury-Kompositionen wie „Love Kills“ und „I Was Born To Love You“.

Erhältlich als CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray sowie als CD und 2LP. Auf der DVD und der Blu-ray ist viel zusätzliches Material zu sehen – etwa Roger Taylors „Drum Battle“ mit seinem Schlagzeuger-Sohn Rufus Taylor, oder auch Brian Mays „Last Horizon“-Gitarrensolo.
