Tom arbeitet als Tennistrainer in einem All-Inclusive-Hotel auf Fuerteventura. Was auf den ersten Blick wie der Traum vom endlosen Sommer wirkt, ist für den ehemaligen Profi längst monotone Routine geworden. Während die Touristen in einem nicht endenden Strom kommen und gehen, spielt er Woche für Woche hunderte Bälle übers Netz und füllt die Leere mit flüchtigen Affären und Alkohol.
Doch dann taucht die geheimnisvolle Anne im Hotel auf. Sie, ihr Mann Dave (Jack Farthing) und ihr siebenjähriger Sohn Anton entsprechen nicht dem Bild der üblichen Pauschaltouristen. Schnell kommt Tom der Familie näher: Er gibt Anton Tennisstunden und lädt sie zu einem Ausflug ein, um ihnen die raue Schönheit der Insel zu zeigen. Am nächsten Tag ist Dave spurlos verschwunden. Ebenso mysteriös wie Daves Verschwinden ist Annes Verhalten, das Tom vor Rätsel stellt. Ein Verdacht keimt in ihm auf…
